The Golden Hours
February 11, 2007 in Personal Growth
A few months ago I was at an internet marketing conference in Las Vegas.
Talk about your ironies. Out in the casino, thousands of people were chasing after jackpots with odds about as good as getting hit by a bolt of lightning—on a Tuesday, on an even day, of an leap year—but just a short walk down a hall lead to a room that housed several real millionaires with real solutions with real payoffs… and there were only about one hundred people in attendance.
One of those present was Jim Edwards.
A few years ago Jim was nearly broke and made his living delivering pizzas. Today he sits atop an online empire of blogs, ebooks and affiliate links. How did he make the transition from working with pizza dough to making real dough?
Here is Jim’s blueprint for success:
- Take action on good solid ideas.
- Take action in spite of fear.
- Know exactly what you want.
- Take massive action when you’re getting started.
- Use your two “Golden Hours” every single day to take action.
What are Golden Hours? Well, Jim realized that he couldn’t just quit his job and go online full time, so he carved out two hours of his day to use in making his transition.
One hour is the “creative” hour and the second is the “mechanical” hour. In the first hour, usually before he went to work, he would write ad copy or work on an ebook. The second hour, usually before he went to bed, he would do the dirty work of uploading sites, answering email and completing other daily chores.
That’s it. Two hours per day. Think about that.
Just do what you have to do for two hours each day—right now—and then do what you want to do the rest of your life.

Jim has some great pointers.
I’ve bought some of Jim’s products and they are worth their hefty price tags.
I recommend his stuff.
