Disposable Email Addresses
February 9, 2007 in Email
I hate it when online directories and search engines (like Jayde) want my email address in order to verify that I want my site listed with them. (Why else would I have submitted my information to them?) Anyway, they just want to add you to their database so they can send you a bunch of email that you will never ever read.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could give them a fake email address so that you could get listed? The problem is that you need to click on a link that they send you.
You could go to Google and set up a Gmail account just for these types of mail… but within a few weeks there will be several thousand emails in your inbox and spam filters from all sorts of search engines and spammers.
Don’t you wish that you could have a disposable email address? One that worked for about ten minutes—just long enough to verify a link—and then it self destructed?
Ta da!

(Now, don’t you wish you would have wished for a bazillion dollars instead?)

Great tip! I hate being put on SPAM lists. I notice that even some of the larger companies send out BS mail.
I hate it!
Have you checked out Emailwarden.com?
It is much easier than any other service and remembers the email address for each site you visit.

I WOULD wish for a bazillion dollars, if that still meant that I owned a bazillion bars of gold in the fed-vaults.
As it stands now, a bazillion dollars will soon be worth about as much toilet-paper.
